Acceptance of terms
By creating an account or using any part of FitMyCV (fitmycv.site), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. These terms form a legally binding agreement between you and FitMyCV.
If you are using FitMyCV on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We'll notify active users of material changes by email.
Account registration & eligibility
To use FitMyCV, you must be at least 16 years old. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password or allow others to access your account. FitMyCV is not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorized account access.
One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits, circumvent suspensions, or abuse any feature is prohibited and will result in termination of all associated accounts.
You agree to provide accurate information when registering. Accounts created with false information may be suspended without notice.
Data Portability & Export limits. To protect platform infrastructure and prevent system abuse, users may export a compiled JSON file of their personal account data once per calendar month.
Credit system & pricing
FitMyCV uses a credit-based system. Credits are the currency of the platform - you spend them when you use AI features, and you can buy more at any time.
Free credits on signup
Every new account receives 30 free credits upon registration. No purchase required, no credit card needed. These credits are available immediately and never expire.
Credit costs per action
Credit rules
- Credits never expire - purchased credits remain in your account indefinitely.
- Credits are non-transferable - they cannot be moved between accounts.
- Credits have no cash value - they cannot be exchanged for money.
- FitMyCV reserves the right to adjust credit costs with 14 days' notice to active users.
- If your credit balance reaches zero, AI features will be unavailable until you purchase more or earn credits via referral.
Referral program
FitMyCV offers a referral program that lets you earn credits by inviting others to the platform. This is separate from the Creator & Ambassador Program, which pays cash commission to approved creators. Here's exactly how the user referral program works:
Program rules
- Each account has one unique referral link that can be shared with unlimited people.
- Maximum lifetime referral reward: 50 referral events per account. This limit exists to prevent abuse.
- Referral rewards are credits only - they have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
Using your own referral link to create a second account or coordinating with others to generate fake referrals is a violation of these terms. Accounts found doing this will be suspended immediately and all referral credits forfeited.
FitMyCV reserves the right to revoke referral rewards, adjust program terms, or suspend the referral program entirely if abuse is detected or at our discretion with reasonable notice.
Campus Ambassador Program
The FitMyCV Campus Ambassador Program ("Campus Ambassador Program") allows students to represent FitMyCV on their campus by sharing their unique referral links or custom campaign links. By applying to or participating in the Program, you agree to these terms in addition to all other terms on this page.
Eligibility and approval
- You must apply through the official ambassador dashboard and provide accurate college, branch, and graduation year information.
- You must have a completed FitMyCV profile (including name, phone, address, and social links) to be eligible.
- Approval is at FitMyCV's sole discretion. We may reject or revoke ambassador status without obligation to provide a reason.
Rewards and benefits (No cash value)
Approved Campus Ambassadors earn 50 platform credits for every new user who signs up through their referral link or custom campaign links (compared to the standard 15 credits).
The Campus Ambassador Program does NOT offer cash payouts, commission percentages, UPI transfers, or PayPal withdrawals. All rewards are issued strictly as FitMyCV platform credits. Credits have no cash value.
Based on referral volume, ambassadors are also eligible to receive an official FitMyCV Campus Ambassador Certificate and recognition on the Hall of Fame.
Campaign links and attribution
Ambassadors can create up to 20 custom campaign links (e.g.,fitmycv.site/ref/your-fest) for events and WhatsApp groups. Attribution occurs only when a new user signs up using your specific link. If multiple ambassadors claim the same user, FitMyCV's internal attribution records are final.
Prohibited conduct
- Self-referral or creating multiple accounts to farm referral credits.
- Fake, incentivized, or bot-generated clicks and signups.
- Cookie stuffing, link hijacking, or misleading attribution practices.
- Posting ambassador links on generic coupon or discount websites.
- Spam, harassment, illegal content, or promotion on platforms in ways that violate their rules.
- Presenting yourself as an employee, founder, or official spokesperson of FitMyCV. You are an independent student ambassador.
Account control and forfeiture
FitMyCV retains full discretion over the Campus Ambassador Program. We may suspend or terminate ambassador accounts, forfeit accumulated credits, or modify program rules with reasonable notice. If an account is suspended for violating these terms (e.g., self-referral or spam), all accumulated credits will be permanently forfeited.

Acceptable use
FitMyCV is a tool for legitimate job seekers. You agree to use it only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms.
The following are prohibited:
- Creating resumes that fabricate employment history, qualifications, certifications, or credentials you do not hold. FitMyCV is for presenting your real experience more effectively not for inventing it.
- Scraping, cloning, reverse-engineering, or attempting to extract the source code, algorithms, or data of the service.
- Using automated bots, scripts, or tools to consume credits, analyze resumes at scale, or interact with the service in a non-human manner.
- Sharing your account credentials with other people. Each account is for one individual.
- Attempting to circumvent credit consumption - for example, by manipulating API requests, intercepting network traffic, or exploiting bugs to use AI features without spending credits.
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free credits or to evade a suspension.
- Uploading content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
- Participating in the Creator Program while violating the Creator Program terms - including advertising fake discounts, generating fraudulent referrals, or misrepresenting FitMyCV to your audience.
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension. Remaining credits are forfeited.
AI-generated content & disclaimer
FitMyCV's AI features generate resume content, cover letters, ATS scores, and bullet rewrites based on the input you provide. This output is a suggestion - not a guarantee.
AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, outdated phrasing, or suggestions that don't accurately reflect your experience. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI output before submitting it to employers, recruiters, or any third party.
What we do and don't claim
- You retain full ownership of your resume content. FitMyCV does not claim any rights over documents you create.
- FitMyCV does not guarantee that AI-tailored resumes will result in job interviews, callbacks, or employment offers.
- ATS scores are estimates based on common ATS patterns - different employers use different systems, and a high score does not guarantee your resume will pass every ATS.
- We are not responsible for hiring decisions made by employers, regardless of the content generated by our AI.
- AI output is generated by third-party providers (OpenAI / Anthropic) - see our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.
PortfolioKit - hosted portfolio websites
PortfolioKit lets you build and publish a portfolio website on FitMyCV at fitmycv.site/p/yourhandle. Building and editing a portfolio is free; publishing (and renewing) the live page consumes credits according to the credit costs table, and publishing periods last 1, 3, or 6 months before the page automatically returns to draft.
Handles & subdomains
- Each published portfolio uses a unique handle you choose (letters, numbers, dash, and underscore; 3–40 characters). Handles are reserved on a first-come basis and must not impersonate others or use FitMyCV trademarks.
- The first handle change is free; subsequent changes cost credits (see the credit costs table).
- Optional custom subdomains (e.g. yourname.fitmycv.site) are available for an additional credit cost and are subject to availability and our approval.
Content responsibility
You are solely responsible for the content you publish to your portfolio, including text, images, links, and any messages sent through its contact form. By publishing, you confirm you have the right to share that content and that it complies with these Terms and all applicable laws.
You may not publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, pornographic, infringing on others' intellectual property, misleading, or that impersonates another person or company. Spam, phishing, malware, or attempts to exploit visitors are strictly forbidden.
Takedown & enforcement
FitMyCV may remove, unpublish, or disable any portfolio — with or without notice — that we believe violates these Terms, applicable law, or the rights of others. We may also act on valid takedown requests from rights holders or affected parties. Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension of your account. We are not liable for any content published by users.
Expiry, analytics & messages
- Published portfolios automatically return to draft when their hosting period expires. You can renew with credits before or after expiry to keep the page live.
- You may temporarily deactivate (hide) a published portfolio without losing the hosting period — reactivating makes it live again.
- Basic view analytics are shown only to you in your dashboard. Visitors may send messages via your portfolio's contact form; you are responsible for how you use any information you receive.
Payments
Credit packs are purchased as one-time payments. There are no subscriptions, no auto-renewals, and no recurring charges.
All credit pack purchases are non-refundable. Once a payment is completed, no refunds will be issued under any circumstances. We encourage you to use the 30 free credits you receive on signup to evaluate the product before making any purchase.
Payment processing
Payments are processed by Razorpay. Indian users are charged in INR; international users are charged in USD. The currency is geo-detected at the time of purchase. By completing a purchase, you also agree to Razorpay's terms of service.
FitMyCV does not store your card details. All payment data is handled directly by Razorpay's secure infrastructure.
Intellectual property
Your content: You retain full ownership of all resume content, cover letters, and other documents you create using FitMyCV. By using the service, you grant FitMyCV a limited, non-exclusive license to store and process your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your documents.
Our platform: FitMyCV's website, application code, design, templates, branding, and all associated intellectual property are owned by FitMyCV. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without explicit written permission.
Templates: Resume templates provided by FitMyCV are licensed for personal use within the platform. You may use them to create and export your own resumes. You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the templates themselves.
Illustrative Data & Previews: All personal names, contact info, project details, and job descriptions displayed within template previews, thumbnails, or interactive simulators across the platform are dummy data used solely for illustrative and presentation purposes. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or real corporate entities is purely coincidental.
Account suspension & termination
Deleting your account
You can request account deletion at any time from the Settings page. Submitting a request schedules your account for deletion and initiates a 90-day grace period. During this 90-day grace period, you can cancel the request at any time from your settings to preserve your account. Once the 90-day grace period expires, the account is permanently closed, remaining credits are forfeited without refund, and all associated resumes, cover letters, and profile data are erased from our database within 90 days.
Suspension by FitMyCV
FitMyCV may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, abuse the credit or referral system, violate Creator Program rules, or use the service in a way that harms other users or the platform.
Creator accounts may be terminated separately from regular user accounts. On creator termination, unpaid commissions may be forfeited if termination is due to program violations.
In cases of clear and serious violations (e.g. automated abuse, self-referral fraud, credential fabrication at scale), suspension may occur without prior warning. In less severe cases, we may issue a warning first.
On suspension or termination by FitMyCV: remaining credits are forfeited and documents are deleted within 30 days.
Appeals
If you believe your account was suspended in error, contact us at fitmycv.team@fitmycv.site within 14 days of the suspension. Include your account email and a description of the situation. We'll review and respond within 5 business days.
Disclaimer of warranties
FitMyCV is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind express or implied.
We do not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times.
- ATS scores will accurately predict how your resume performs in every applicant tracking system different employers use different ATS software with different rules.
- AI-tailored resumes will result in job interviews, offers, or any specific career outcome.
- The service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FitMyCV disclaims all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, FitMyCV's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or the service is limited to the amount you paid to FitMyCV in the 30 days immediately preceding the claim.
FitMyCV is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Missed job opportunities, failed applications, or rejection by employers.
- Hiring decisions made by employers based on resumes created using FitMyCV.
- Loss of data due to technical failures (though we take reasonable precautions to prevent this).
- Any career or financial outcomes resulting from use of the service.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which the claim is brought, and even if FitMyCV has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Changes to terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes changes that affect your rights or the credit system we will notify active users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
Minor changes (clarifications, typo fixes, formatting) may be made without notice. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
Continuing to use FitMyCV after updated terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the new terms. If you disagree with a change, you may delete your account before the effective date.
Governing law & disputes
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of FitMyCV shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at fitmycv.team@fitmycv.site to attempt to resolve the issue informally. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication.
